The Apache Slick Hills Association (fka Apache Rattlesnake Association) may award up to three
scholarships to deserving Apache High School seniors in the amount of $500.00 each.

MARION CLABORN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Marion Claborn was born and raised in Apache. He loved all things Apache. He was the first Claborn male to graduate from high school and the first to graduate from college. He highly valued academics, but he loved athletics. Marion always stated that sports kept him out of trouble and in school. He was a 35 year veteran of coaching and started three high school football programs in Oklahoma.
All Apache High School senior athletes are eligible to apply for the Marion Claborn Memorial Scholarship.
The following requirements apply:
Ø 2.5 GPA or better
Ø Plan to attend college
Ø Lettered in athletics at least their senior year
Ø Typed resume listing activities, honors, etc.
Ø Typed essay consisting of 350 words requesting the money, explaining what athletics has meant to you and what your future plans are.
JAMES C. AND ALICE G. WOODWARD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The James C. and Alice G. Memorial Scholarship Fund will award three scholarships to Apache High School 2024 graduates.
The scholarship winners will receive scholarship funds after providing documentation of enrollment in a post-high school educational program.
Type the following information and attach to the application:

· After graduation from high school, what are your goals and future plans?
· Why are you deserving of this scholarship?
· Essay: As a future productive citizen, what should or could you do to maintain democracy at the local, state and federal levels?
